In 2022, EPU created the Unum Academy leadership accelerator, with seven students from across five states. With a focus on self-exploration and building a deeper knowledge of specific equity-related issues, the Academy supports Southern college students on their personal equity journeys so they are prepared to take on larger leadership roles on their campuses and in their communities. The Academy experience culminates in a 200- hour paid summer internship with an equity- focused organization in the EPU network.
