Samantha Artiga

Director, Disparities Policy Project and Associate Director, Program on Medicaid and the Uninsured The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation.

Samantha Artiga serves as Director of the Disparities Policy Project at the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) and Associate Director for KFF’s Program on Medicaid and the Uninsured. Ms. Artiga has nearly 20 years health policy experience related to health coverage and care for underserved groups. In her current role, she develops and leads KFF’s research and policy analysis to provide greater insight into health and health care disparities and strategies to advance equity. In addition, she serves as a national expert on Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. Her work in these areas focuses on racial and ethnic disparities in health and health care and the structural and systemic factors driving them as well as health coverage and access to care for vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, justice-involved individuals, and immigrants. Ms. Artiga holds a Masters in Health Services Administration degree with a concentration in Health Policy and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the George Washington University.
