(NEW ORLEANS, LA) –Today on Friday, June 18, 2021, former New Orleans Mayor and E Pluribus Unum founder Mitch Landrieu will interview Bank of America Chairman & CEO Brian Moynihan and NASCAR President Steve Phelps about corporate leadership on racial equity.

In the year since George Floyd’s death in 2020, corporations have posted pledges affirming that Black Lives Matter and made statements about racial justice. Some went further, adding staff focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, or taking a broader look at ways to advance racial equity from within. The public has demanded corporations and businesses step forward more meaningfully in the fight for racial equity and justice.

Was this just a moment? How are America’s corporations doing? What’s the pathway forward? Those are just a few of the questions to be discussed.

The discussion is part of a series of virtual conversations started by E Pluribus Unum in 2020 to shine a spotlight on the price our country has paid for systemic racism and articulate what it takes to shift our perspectives to move into a more equitable future. The discussions have been designed to speak to white audiences.
